Angel Reese didn’t get off to the best start in her WNBA career, as she witnessed her Chicago Sky lose handily in the first preseason game to the Minnesota Lynx.
Her second game went much more like she’s grown accustomed to, though. Reese started in the Sky’s 48-point blowout of the New York Liberty on Tuesday night. Reese dropped 13 points, five rebounds and two steals in just 19 minutes of action.

Angel Reese addresses Met Gala concerns
Following the game, Reese took the time to call out and give a shoutout to her haters.
Reese had undergone criticism due to her decision to attend the 2024 Met Gala just one night before the Sky-Liberty game. Some fans believed she needs to be taking her WNBA duties more seriously. But it definitely didn’t seem to affect her on the court, and the team didn’t seem to mind Reese being in both places across the two days. Reese is known to be a controversial figure for some people, but she calls out critics like the best of them.
Reese’s next game will be the WNBA regular season opener for the Sky. They face the Dallas Wings on the road on Wednesday, May 15.
