Cruz’s stunning performance deserves a massive pay day. NY Fights reported that welterweight champion of the world made a whopping $650,000 this weekend. It was reported that this was the Mexican great’s largest payout in the history of his career.

Both the fighters have previously lost to ‘the tank’ also known as Gervonta Davis. After the fight he reportedly said,

I was prepared for this. I wasn’t here to just fight. I was here to terminate him. I did my talking right here in the ring. And I did this not just for me but for everybody that is here at T-Mobile Arena. There’s going to be a Mexican champ at 140 pounds for a long time.

He expressed his gratitude to all of his supporters present in the arena and across the world. He claimed that his intentions were to knock him out clean before the twelfth round ends. Whereas the loser of the fight Rolly Romero will make roughly $850,000 which is significantly more than his winning opponent. It’ll be interesting to see who does Cruz takes on next.

Isaac will sure be in for a big money fight later this year when he takes on some of the biggest names in boxing given the fact that he’s got a target on his back at the current moment. It’ll be interesting to see if Cruz will holding the belt later this year. Given how much he has improved since the Gervonta Davis fight the odds will be in his favor if he goes against anyone in the future to defend his title.
