According to The Times, the renowned French encyclopedic dictionary ‘Petit Larousse Illustré’ is set to include Beyoncé’s name in its latest edition. The iconic singer will be listed as a proper noun, with her entry reading, “American singer of R&B and pop.” This prestigious inclusion places Beyoncé among other notable personalities like Cate Blanchett, LeBron James, and Christopher Nolan.

Carine Girac-Marinier, Head of Dictionaries at Larousse, explained to Le Point that these additions are reflective of current concerns, developments, or significant movements. The decision to feature Beyoncé in the dictionary underscores her global influence and cultural impact.
