Princess Beatrice is set to step into a more visible role for the Royal Family this summer, as King Charles aims to inject some glamour during the Princess of Wales’s ongoing absence.

While Buckingham Palace is still finalizing plans, Beatrice is expected to accompany the King to key events, potentially including the upcoming Japanese state visit. Despite being a non-working royal, Beatrice’s assistance is sought as Charles navigates an exceptional year, especially with his recent return to light duties amid cancer treatment and Kate’s recovery from her cancer diagnosis.

With a packed royal calendar featuring events like Trooping the Colour, state banquets, and Garter Day, there’s a shortage of working members of the Royal Family. Therefore, Charles is keen to involve Beatrice and occasionally her sister, Princess Eugenie, to bolster the royal presence.

Beatrice, who has previously assisted her late grandmother, the Queen, at royal events, is likely to follow a similar template for her participation this summer. Her upcoming involvement includes hosting Japan’s Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako at Buckingham Palace.

Sources close to the Yorks emphasize that while Beatrice and Eugenie remain non-working royals, they are willing to support the family at social events. Charles sees them as sensible, lovely women who could bring added value to the monarchy, addressing the public’s desire for royal glamour.

Beatrice, who splits her time between New York and her Cotswolds home, has grown more confident and fashionable over the years, making her well-suited for a more visible role within the Royal Family.
