The Duke and Duchess of Sussex caused a stir among royal enthusiasts when they made a surprise appearance at a charity polo match in Miami last Friday, capping off the event with a passionate kiss following Harry’s team’s triumph.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were described as “soaking up the limelight” as they radiated joy side by side during the recent charity polo event.

Attending the celebrity polo match in support of Sentebale, the organization founded by Harry in 2006 to aid young people in Africa living with HIV, the couple were visibly thrilled by Harry’s team’s victory. Meghan, aged 39, proudly presented the trophy to her husband before the couple shared a tender kiss, much to the delight of spectators and photographers alike.

Before the match, the couple were spotted happily strolling hand in hand, with Netflix cameras capturing their every move for an upcoming miniseries spotlighting polo, which they are also executive producing. Netflix has announced that the series will provide “unprecedented access to the world of professional polo,” including coverage of the US Open Polo Championship in Florida.

Body language expert Judi James noted Harry’s exuberance and confidence during the charity polo match, suggesting that he and Meghan relished the attention. Commenting on Harry’s demeanor, she remarked, “With his chest puffed out, striding confidently, and accompanied by his polo WAG Meghan—though slightly trailing in her unsuitable high heels—Harry appears to be exuding confidence, fully embracing his celebrity status as he engages in this quintessentially royal sporting tradition.” James also highlighted the significance of polo as a domain where royal men showcase their masculinity, while their partners, referred to as WAGs, play a role in the traditional divot stomping during breaks, a task Meghan’s heels imply she may opt out of.
