Maintaining his upbeat demeanor, the Duke of Sussex engaged in light-hearted banter with attendees, even as he was aware of other senior royals, including King Charles, hosting a garden party at Buckingham Palace just two miles away.

Notably, no members of the royal family attended the Duke’s anniversary service today, opting instead to join the King at the garden party. Among those absent were Queen Camilla, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.

While Harry’s uncle, the Earl Spencer, and Lady Jane Fellowes, along with other notable guests, attended the service, working royals such as the Prince and Princess of Wales were absent due to prior commitments.

Following the service, Prince Harry engaged with fans outside the cathedral, displaying his affable nature by joking with attendees and even teasing one enthusiastic royal fan about her two phones.
