Prince William Shares Emotional Experience in Suicide Bereavement Guide

Prince William recently contributed a poignant message to a series of guides aimed at supporting military veterans and their families. Reflecting on the importance of sharing grief and experiences, the Prince of Wales opened up about tearful moments he and Kate Middleton have shared. His heartfelt note featured in the ‘At Your Side’ Suicide Bereavement guides for the Armed Forces community, commissioned by the National Health Service of England.

“There is no time limit to processing grief, but Catherine and I have met many bereaved families over the years and know the power that comes from sharing experiences, even in the most tragic of circumstances,” Prince William wrote in his message to the guide.

Beginning his message by commending the Armed Forces personnel for their resilience, William acknowledged the profound impact of suicide on bereaved families within the community. He expressed hope that the guide would offer support and solace to those grappling with the loss of loved ones to suicide.

In a gesture of solidarity, Prince William incorporated words from his wife, Kate Middleton, into his message, echoing her sentiments of empathy and support. Kate’s words, previously used in her own announcement of her cancer diagnosis, underscored the couple’s shared commitment to compassion and understanding in the face of adversity.
