Roman Kemp recently shared his most surreal experience: sitting around his parents’ kitchen table with the Princess of Wales. The 31-year-old British television and radio host initially met the royal family at Buckingham Palace when he was asked to DJ for an after-party. Reflecting on the day with The Times, Kemp described it as weird, especially when Prince Harry joined him on the decks and reminded him to avoid explicit lyrics in rap songs.

Although meeting Prince Harry was uneventful for Kemp, his real acquaintance with royalty came later when his documentary, “Our Silent Emergency,” caught the attention of the Princess of Wales. Last year, Kemp found himself chatting with her at his kitchen table in Hertfordshire, which he described as one of the most surreal days of his life. He noted the peculiar moment when the princess took her shoes off at the door, a sight uncommon for royalty.

Since then, Kate has developed a close bond with the Kemp family, exchanging homemade goods after her visit. Kemp revealed that Kate’s revelation about her cancer diagnosis was heartbreaking for the family, not only due to the diagnosis itself but also because of the public scrutiny she faced. In response, Martin Kemp, a British actor and DJ, sent his well wishes to the Princess of Wales along with an unseen photo of her with his family, expressing “so much Kemp love” for her and her family.
