Nicki Minaj, the celebrated rapper from Queens, NY, recently had a triumphant return to her hometown during her Pink Friday 2 tour, with Brooklyn, NY stealing the spotlight.

Taking to Instagram on Friday (April 5), Minaj couldn’t contain her excitement, giving a shoutout to Kings County and the entirety of New York City.

“#GagCityBROOKLYN SHOWED UP & SHOWED TF OUT!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so in love with my city. New York City. Gag City,” she exclaimed in the caption. “The whole tri-state area was up in there last night and it was all love. We made the ABSOLUTE BEST MEMORIES THAT I WILL CHERISH FOR A LIFETIME!!!!!!!!!”

Reflecting on her journey from performing in small clubs to sold-out arenas, Minaj expressed gratitude to her loyal supporters, reminiscing about the early days when they believed in her even when she doubted herself.

During her electrifying homecoming show, Minaj was joined onstage by iconic rappers such as 50 Cent, Tony Yayo, Uncle Murda, and Bobby Shmurda, further enhancing the unforgettable experience.

While many big-name guests graced Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 Tour, one notable absence was Joe Budden, who declined the opportunity to perform his hit single “Pump It Up” at her New Jersey show.

Explaining his decision on his podcast, Budden cited a lack of enthusiasm for the performance, emphasizing that he couldn’t match the hype of his past self.

Despite this, Minaj’s tour has been filled with memorable moments, including a collaboration with rap legend 50 Cent at Madison Square Garden. Together, they performed their hit “Beep Beep,” with 50 Cent also delivering some of his iconic tracks to the delight of the crowd.

In addition to the music, 50 Cent used the opportunity to playfully tease Diddy and his ex-girlfriend Daphne Joy, showcasing his trademark wit and humor.

Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 Tour continues to captivate audiences with its star-studded lineup and unforgettable performances, proving once again why she remains a dominant force in the rap scene.
