Could the Chicago Sky pull off a shocking draft night move?
With the women’s college basketball season in the rearview mirror, all eyes are now on the upcoming WNBA Draft, which is set to take place on Monday, April 15.
Caitlin Clark is fully expected to be the No. 1 overall pick, but one of her biggest rivals in college, Angel Reese, is a bit more polarizing as a draft prospect.
Could Kamilla Cardoso and Angel Reese both play on Chicago Sky?
In ESPN’s latest mock draft, Reese slips to the 8th pick, where the Chicago Sky selects her. What catches many off guard is that in this scenario, Reese would join the same team that also picks Kamilla Cardoso at 3rd overall.
Cardoso, being taller, might occupy the center position while Reese fits in at power forward, but it would be a daring move by Chicago. Some fans are excited about the prospect of seeing this duo on the court together.
However, while some fans are eager to witness these two standout college stars playing alongside each other in the Sky’s frontcourt, others doubt whether they could coexist effectively on the same team.
All uncertainties regarding the destinations of the top college players will be resolved come Monday night.
