Angel is trying to earn a top-five selection.
Angel Reese shared a bit about her WNBA Draft preparation with Chris Brickley in New York City with renowned basketball coach Chris Brickley.
Days after being trained by Victor Wembanyama’s coach, this time she impressed LeBron James’ former coach with an eye-popping skill in a behind-closed-doors workout shared on Instagram.
Angel Reese prepares for WNBA Draft
Reese has been preparing for draft night since before LSU’s season was ended by Caitlin Clark in the Elite Eight of a record breaking NCAA women’s basketball tournament.
While she is arguably the most well-known WNBA Draft prospect after Clark, who is the assumed No. 1 pick to the Indiana Fever, Reese sits outside the top five on most consensus big boards and mock drafts.
Angel is putting in the work to change that evaluation, according to Brickley. “Season just ended but @angelreese10 back in the gym.
We got better today,” he wrote in an Instagram post, followed by an even more encouraging Instagram story that highlighted the most impressive part of their workout.
“I knew Angel Reese had a great college career, but she surprised me today with how well she shot it!” Brickley typed over a photo of her spotting up for a corner three.

n her four-year college career at Maryland and LSU, Reese went just 5-for-32 on three pointers (15.6%).
It is considered one of the big holes in her offensive game, especially when projecting her offensive abilities into the WNBA, where she will not have a size advantage like she did in college.
If she shows improved range in workouts, Reese could climb up the draft boards.
In typical fashion, the Bayou Barbie has been plotting moves off the court just as impressive as her training routine.
In between workout photos, she posted meetings with Reebok in New York and exclusive packages sent to her by Fenty beauty.
She already teased the grill she is getting custom made for the draft, and she hinted at a stunning hair change to go with it.
Who is Chris Brickley?
Brickley has trained James, Kevin Durant, Jimmy Butler and James Harden, to name just a few of his NBA clients.
He also has a long-standing relationship with Joel Embiid, who he worked with over several years through his development from raw NBA draft prospect to NBA MVP, an arc Reese would love to follow.
His New York training facility, Black Ops Basketball, is regularly home to WNBA MVP Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty. He also extends his welcome to famous names outside the sport, like J. Cole, Kai Cenat and Tom Brady.
