Los Angeles Lakers Has Opportunity Acquire Seventh Seed After Win Over the Grizzlies
The Los Angeles Lakers secured a hard-fought 123-120 victory on the road against the Memphis Grizzlies, keeping them in contention for the seventh spot in the Western Conference playoff race.

Led by superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers overcame a resilient effort from the Grizzlies to improve their record to 46-35, placing them in a promising position for the play-in round.

James contributed 37 points, nine rebounds, and five assists, while Davis added 36 points, 14 rebounds, and two blocks, according to the NBA website. With one regular-season game remaining, the Lakers are determined to secure their postseason berth.

Confident in their ability to win regardless of their seeding, the Lakers remain focused on achieving the best possible position in the Play-In Tournament.

Los Angeles Lakers is luckier than the Warriors and Kings

Following their victory over the Grizzlies, the Lakers climbed to the eighth spot in the standings, surpassing the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings, both with 45-35 records, who are still competing in separate games.
Furthermore, if the Lakers win their final game and the Phoenix Suns lose their matchups against the Kings and the Minnesota Timberwolves, they could finish in seventh place, currently held by the Suns with a 47-33 record.

Securing the seventh spot would grant the Lakers homecourt advantage in the Play-In Tournament against the eighth-ranked team. However, they must first defeat the New Orleans Pelicans (48-32) to contend for the eighth position in the Western Conference before the tournament begins.

Nevertheless, the Pelicans are also eager to secure as many wins as possible to solidify their place in the top six and secure a postseason berth, making the Lakers’ task more challenging.
