Angel Reese Says She and Caitlin Clark Can 'Compete' and 'Still Be Cool After'

The rivalry between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark appears to be heating up as they embark on their WNBA careers. Clark, the former standout from Iowa, has already made waves by joining the Indiana Fever as the top pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, with her jersey quickly selling out as a testament to her popularity and influence in women’s sports.

“my jersey already being sold is crazy i love yalllll,” Reese said on X.

However, Reese, the former LSU star, is also making waves in the merchandise world, with her Chicago Sky jersey flying off the shelves after being selected as the No. 7 overall pick. Alongside fellow rookie Kamilla Cardoso, Reese is proving to be a force to be reckoned with in the WNBA.

Despite their competitive history, Clark and Reese seem to be on good terms, with Clark getting her revenge on Reese and the LSU Tigers in this year’s Final Four matchup. While the Hawkeyes fell short in the title game against South Carolina, the stage is set for an exciting showdown between Clark and Reese when their teams meet on June 1st in the WNBA.
