Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark have embarked on a new career venture as they transition into the WNBA.

Both Clark and Reese are anticipated to be selected in the first round of the WNBA draft, and they continue to pursue their NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) deals as they conclude their college careers.

The two basketball stars rank among the top earners in the college sports realm through their NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) deals, with Clark positioned as the fourth-highest earner in the NCAA with a valuation of $3.1 million.

Major corporations like Nike, State Farm, and Gatorade are among her prominent sponsors.

Following closely, Reese holds the eighth spot with a valuation of $1.8 million.

Her partnerships include notable brands such as Airbnb, Reebok, Tampax, and Beats by Dre.

Contrary to popular belief, college athletes can maintain their NIL deals even as they transition into professional careers. Companies continue to seek partnerships with athletes like Reese and Clark, with Panini, a prominent trading card company, among them.

In March, Clark secured a significant deal with Panini, reportedly exceeding $1 million in its initial year. This milestone marked her as the first female athlete to establish an exclusive partnership for trading cards and signed memorabilia.

Following suit, Reese recently finalized her own agreement with Panini, mirroring the terms of Clark’s deal. However, the exact value of Reese’s partnership has not been disclosed.

“Angel is an outstanding talent and an electric player, and we are excited to welcome her to the Panini family as an exclusive athlete,” Jason Howarth, Panini America’s senior vice president of marketing and athlete relations said.

Reese expressed a similar level of excitement regarding her new sponsorship deal.

“I’m excited to join Panini as an exclusive athlete for autograph trading cards and memorabilia,” Reese said.

“As a little girl growing up, you always dream of playing basketball and getting your first trading card.

“I can’t wait for fans everywhere to be able to start collecting my Panini cards.”

Reese and Clark are poised to be among the top selections in the upcoming WNBA Draft.

Clark is widely anticipated to be the first overall pick, likely joining the Indiana Fever. Meanwhile, Reese is expected to be selected around the seventh or eighth pick.

The WNBA Draft is scheduled to take place on Monday, April 15 in New York City.
