Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson joined by family as he's honoured with star on Hollywood Walk of Fame | London Evening Standard | Evening StandardIn recognition of his transformation from WWE wrestler to Hollywood heavyweight, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been awarded a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Along with her gorgeous two-year-old daughter Jasmine and her pregnant long-term girlfriend Lauren Hashian, the former heavyweight champion accepted the honor on Wednesday.

In front of the assembled audience on Hollywood Boulevard, he expressed his gratitude to his mother Ata Johnson and called her the “strongest woman I know.”

The 45-year-old stated: “She asked me, ‘Did you ever think this would be possible?’” as we were driving over here. “No, not at all. We were evicted when I was fifteen,” I responded. And now that we’re here, this is incredible.

“We were forced to leave the island after being evicted from our one-bedroom apartment in Honolulu, Hawaii, and here we are today.”

Honoring his family, he called the occasion “monumental” and, as he brought his daughter on stage, remarked, “This is what it all means.” It everything boils down to your kin.”

“This is such a big deal and important time in my life,” he continued.

Jack Black, Johnson’s amiable co-star from his most recent movie Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, was also in the audience.

Earlier this week, the former WWE star revealed he was expecting his third kid.
