Rapper Eminem released his 11th album “Music to be Murdered By” on January 17 without prior notice.
The album is the American rapper’s new product after 2018’s Kamikaze – also released in the same way. Music to be Murdered By includes 20 songs with a duration of more than an hour, gathering many stars such as Ed Sheeran, Juice WRLD, Q-Tip… The cover image is inspired by the only untitled music album by director Alfred Hitchcock released in 1958.
Along with the new album, Eminem introduced the MV for the song Darkness, about a person who does not want to continue to be immersed in “darkness” – feelings of loneliness, alcohol and stimulants. The song uses part of the music and lyrics from The Sound of Silence , a famous composition by the group Simon & Garfunkel released in 1965. The MV is inspired by the 2017 Las Vegas shooting and ends with the message: ” Speak up and change gun laws in America.”
