Kim Kardashian and Kanye “Ye” West recently put their differences aside for their son Saint, 7. The exes were spotted together in a rare, public co-parenting moment, and it’s a reminder of how hard they’re working to prioritize their children.

star has been honest about the struggles of co-parenting with her ex. “Co-parenting is hard,” she said in a Dec. 2022 appearance on the . “It’s really f—king hard.”

She’s done her best to not talk badly about Ye in front of her kids, despite his horrific antisemitic comments and other controversial actions. “One day my kids will thank me for sitting here and not bashing their dad when I could,” she said. “All the crazy s–t. They’ll thank me and I’ll privately answer anything that they want to know. It’s not my place anymore to jump in.”

Kardashian continued, “I definitely protected him, and I still will in the eyes of my kids, for my kids. So, in my home, my kids don’t know anything that goes on on the outside world. … I’m holding on by a thread. I know I’m so close to that not happening. While that’s still happening, I will protect that to the ends of the earth, as long as I can.”

She gave another update about co-parenting in a July episode of She admitted to her sisters that she’s “not OK” with seeing how much West has changed since they fell in love.

“The whole situation is sad and I don’t know how to handle it,” she said. “I’m conflicted because I don’t ever want to jump in and be a part of a downfall for the father of my kids. Your instinct is to be like, ‘Wow I can never talk to this person again.’ But then you think of your babies. And so I’m having a hard time figuring it out.”

The way she puts her kids first always, even if its hard or stressful, is so admirable!
