Snoop Dogg brought a cake roll to his late mother’s grave to commemorate her 73rd birthday

Snoop Dogg, the iconic Hip-Hop figure, honored his late mother, Beverly Tate, on what would have been her 73rd birthday. In a heartfelt Instagram post on Monday (April 29), Snoop shared a photo of himself at her gravesite, holding an unlit joint and scrolling through his phone. Alongside him was a wireless speaker, possibly playing some of their favorite songs.

With a simple caption featuring rose, blue heart, prayer hands, and dove emojis, the 52-year-old conveyed his emotions. His post garnered an outpouring of condolences and shared stories of loss from his followers.

Around the time of his mother’s passing in October 2021, Snoop, born Calvin Broadus Jr., expressed gratitude for having “an angel for a mother” and credited her for giving him life. He reminisced about how his nicknаme-turned-stage nаme, Snoop, originated from her affection for the Peanuts character Snoopy, who always smiled in photos.

In another post, the “Gin and Juice” legend expressed his appreciation for his mother by sharing a photo of them hugging, accompanied by the words, “Mama thank u for having me.” His mourning was palpable as he posted a clip of himself listening to “Giving Love” by The Voices Of East Harlem in solitude, captioned with a broken heart emoji.

Months before his mother’s passing, Snoop had asked his fans for prayers without disclosing her condition. He shared photos of Tate, including one where she was surrounded by her three sons, expressing their love for her.

Snoop’s brother, Bing Worthington, who appeared in the family photo, passed away earlier this year.

As Snoop Dogg navigates through his grief, VIBE continues to extend healing energy to him and his family.
