The tables have turned significantly on the Golden State Warriors and the New York Knicks this season. While the Dubs have been relegated to spectators of what has developed into a compelling NBA postseason, it’s the Knicks who are now on the brink of securing a spot in the Eastern Conference Finals.
This has a lot to do with the strong play of Jalen Brunson, who has been playing out of his mind for the Knicks in the postseason thus far.
Golden State Warriors News: Draymond Green Destroys Jalen Brunson Best Point Guard Narrative
For his part, however, Warriors star Draymond Green isn’t ready to turn over the crown to Brunson just yet.
In a recent episode of his podcast, Green was asked by a fan to share his thoughts on Brunson potentially establishing himself as the best point guard in the NBA today. Green felt disrespected by the question mainly because superstar teammate Stephen Curry is still playing in the league.
According to the former Defensive Player of the Year, it’s just completely “ridiculous” to make such a bold claim about Brunson:
It’s not that Green is clowning Brunson here. At this point, you would be a true hater if you did not appreciate the great things the Knicks guard has been doing for his team in the NBA Playoffs.
Nevertheless, Draymond makes a truly valid point about Curry, who remains to be the greatest shooter of all time. In Green’s mind, it is clear that the top PG in the league is a title that belongs to Steph up and until the former back-to-back MVP calls time on his decorated career.
