One of the pioneeers in suporting women’s basketball, Dwyane Wade, has been extremely vocal on the future of the Chiacgo Sky.
Wade was a former NBA All-Star and NBA champion, having played for the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, and Cleveland Cavaliers.
He grew up in Chicago, repping teams like the Bulls and Sky.
He’s a player that turns into a die-hard fan once he’s set in on one player or franchise.
This time, it’s the Sky and their rookie sensation Angel Reese.
Reese comes into the league as a star on and off the court. After her quality perfromace in her WNBA preseason debut, Wade commented “Just the beginning,” speaking on the bright future ahead for Reese, via X.
Reese will only get better as she continues to get reps in the league.
Wade is surely correct in predicting a bright future for her, as well as the Sky.
