Today, American basketball player Blake Griffin, who hasn’t played in the NBA since last season, announced his retirement at the age of 36.

Reflecting on his career, Blake shared on social media, “Basketball has given me so much that I have no regrets.”

Drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers as the first pick in the 2009 draft, Griffin missed his rookie season due to injury. He remained with the Clippers until 2018 before moving to Detroit. Afterward, he played for Brooklyn and spent his final season in Boston.

Despite the challenges he faced, Griffin expressed gratitude for his NBA journey on social media multiple times.

“All of these experiences have made my 14 years in the league truly memorable, and I can’t help but feel grateful,” Griffin said.

Throughout his NBA career, Griffin averaged 19 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. His standout season was 2013/2014 when he averaged 24.1 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 3.9 assists, finishing third in the MVP race.
