The death of Chance Perdomo following a motorbike crash came as a massive shock in March earlier this year.
The 27 year-old actor had garnered a strong following of supporters after appearing in The Boys spin off, Gen V.
Playing fan favorite character Andre Anderson, Perdomo stood out as he gave one of the best performances among his equally talented cast members.
With the first season ending, and Perdomo expected to be a big part of future storylines, fans were excited to see where the writers would take the story in the second season.
His death on March 30 was confirmed by his representatives from Shelter PR, who released a statement on the shocking news and many fans began pouring in tributes for the young actor.
“His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest,” the statement read.
“We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.
The producers of Gen V also commented on his passing, where they added: “We can’t quite wrap our heads around this.
“For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person.

“Even writing about him in the past tense doesn’t make sense.
“We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.”
The producers have now given an update on the future of his character in the show, after taking to Instagram on May 5 to state his character will not be recast.
“As we continue to navigate the tragic loss of Chance Perdomo,” the post read. “Everyone at Gen V is determined to find the best way to pay respect to his memory.
“We won’t be recasting the role, because no one can replace Chance.
“Instead, we have been taking the time and space to refract our Season 2 storylines as we begin production in May. We will honor Chance and his legacy this season.”

This statement comes just as a new trailer for The Boys season 4 dropped over the weekend.
As they share the same universe, the cast members from Gen V were expected to eventually appear in The Boys series.
In the trailer, Maddie Phillips and Asa German, who play Cate Dunlap and Sam Riordan, are spotted in the Vought board room. It is not yet clear whether Chance’s character was also expected to make an appearance in the fourth season of the show.
