The ongoing rivalry between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark shows no signs of fading anytime soon. If anything, it may intensify as they embark on their respective WNBA journeys.

Clark, the erstwhile standout of Iowa’s women’s basketball team, is set to join the Indiana Fever for the upcoming season, having been selected as the top pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. Shortly thereafter, Fanatics revealed that her Indiana Fever jersey had completely sold out, underscoring her continual trailblazing within women’s sports.

Yet, Clark isn’t the sole rookie sensation whose jersey is flying off the shelves.

Angel Reese, the former star of LSU’s women’s basketball team, was picked up by the Chicago Sky as the seventh overall selection, alongside Kamilla Cardoso, the former standout of South Carolina, who was picked third overall. Reese recently announced that her jersey, too, has become a coveted item in the realm of sports merchandise, expressing gratitude to her supporters for their unwavering backing.

my jersey already being sold is crazy i love yalllll,” Reese said on X.

It sounds like Clark isn’t the only WNBA rookie selling out her new jersey. Reese has officially entered the arena.

The good news is both Clark and Reese seem to be on good terms. Clark got her revenge on Reese and the LSU Tigers when Iowa beat them in the Final Four this year. Unfortunately, the Hawkeyes were unable to take down South Carolina in the title game.

Clark and Reese will play each other for the first time in the WNBA on June 1.
