As admirers swoon over Gabbie Marshall’s athletic charm and magnetic persona, there’s growing interest in the individual who captured the heart of Iowa’s #24 sensation. Marshall, aged 23, is in a relationship with Spencer Touro, a former University of Iowa student who pursued studies in sports and recreation.

Touro currently serves as a wellness coach intern at Pro-Fit Gym and has held the position of head sophomore baseball trainer at Benton Community High School since May 2022. Additionally, he fulfills the role of personal trainer at Feldman Performance, located in West Branch, Iowa City.

However, fans had been speculating about their relationship since 2021. Their suspicions were confirmed in August 2023 when Touro shared a photo on Instagram featuring Gabbie, solidifying their romantic connection.

From a young age, Marshall harbored a deep passion for basketball, spurred on by her parents, both former collegiate players; her mother excelled in Aquinas basketball, while her father dominated in Bellarmine basketball.

As a standout senior on Iowa’s basketball squad, Marshall has cemented her status as a promising individual talent.

Standing at 5-foot-9, Marshall transitions into a new league.

In her fifth year, Marshall, playing as a guard, delivered an impressive performance, tallying 16 points and sinking four 3-pointers in the 108-60 victory against Minnesota on March 23.

With 156 games under her belt in her Hawkeye career, Marshall recently reached the milestone of 1,000 career points during a match this week.

Her pivotal role in Iowa’s journey to the Final Four and subsequent national championship bout against LSU last spring underscores her remarkable impact on the team.

With her stellar showing against Minnesota, it seems Marshall is poised for another strong showing in the Big Ten Tournament and March Madness.
