Caitlin Clark made her WNBA debut with the Indiana Fever on Tuesday, and while his boyfriend wasn’t there, he made sure to show his support to his partner.
Clark’s boyfriend, former Iowa Hawkeyes basketball player and current Indiana Pacers personnel Connor McCaffery, took to his Instagram Story to celebrate the rookie’s first official WNBA game against the Connecticut Sun.
McCaffery didn’t write any word, as he simply reshared the video of Clark’s arrival in the game while wearing an all-black ensemble along with a purse. But his message was loud and clear. He’s watching his girlfriend and that he’s there to cheer for him.
Caitlin Clark and her boyfriend have always been supportive of each other, and with them now both in Indiana, their relationship is bound to only get stronger.
Perhaps when the Fever play their first game at home on Thursday, McCaffery will be there to show his support in person.
Clark, for her part, had a relatively up-and-down debut with the Fever. She scored 20 points but also committed 10 turnovers. Hopefully, things will be better for the 2024 WNBA no. 1 pick come Thursday.
