Hailey Van Lith, a former standout player for LSU, has not yet made a decision to join TCU, at least not at this point in time.

Having played for the Tigers during the 2023 season under the coaching of Kim Mulkey and alongside Angel Reese, Van Lith is departing from the team to return to her original position following a decline in her scoring performance.

Several sources speculated that the 22-year-old athlete would be transferring to the Horned Frogs after LSU’s unsuccessful defense of their national championship during March Madness. Nonetheless, she has not officially committed to TCU, though she expresses a strong interest in the possibility.

I did take a visit to TCU and am very interested in them, but I took visits to other schools and was very interested in them, too,” Van Lith told Doug Feinberg of the Associated Press. “I haven’t made an official commitment, but I’m very close. The ink has not touched the paper for any school.

Hailey Van Lith Had Perfect Reaction to Potential LSU-Louisville NCAA Tournament Matchup

Hailey Van Lith spent her first three college seasons playing for Louisville. She led the Cardinals to the Final Four in 2022 but could only take them as far as the Elite Eight the following year.
She moved to LSU in 2023 but struggled as a point guard, averaging 11.6 points and 3.6 assists per game, having averaged 19.7 points per contest the previous year. The Tigers were eliminated from the NCAA Tournament, going out to Iowa at the Elite Eight stage in what was a rematch of last year’s national championship game.

Van Lith has one year of eligibility remaining because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and it will be interesting to see where she lands ahead of her final college season.

In the meantime, the guard is in training camp with the USA Basketball 3×3 team set to play in Paris this summer.
